You keep saying this in every REMF thread. Who are the seagulls club , are they the Seagull Specials ot the Junior Seagulls or someone different ?.

The seagull club teams are made up from of junior seagulls members, they run teams from under 7 to under 16,they should consist of albion fans players and coaches, several age groups run two sides, they have no dedicated venue of there own, players have also fed into the brighton system, the sides are kept going by volunteer coaches who also promote the albion to any non albion fans that join the teams, they could achieve so much more with more support from the albion:thumbsup:

Now this is not a slight on you Gareth, grants are about who applies for them, but...

Why didn't they have insurance?
Why can't they afford £7.84 per family?

It seems a bit rich that someone expects a charity to pick up the bill when they, seemingly, forgot to sort out an insurance policy.

I will admit that I am slightly put off donating money to REMF. I don't like the idea of local teams like DASH or someone similar that get free kits, when there are much more worthwhile causes out there that do not have the knowledge or capability to apply for a grant.

Are DASH really that hard up that the parents can't afford to buy their sons a shirt, socks and shorts?

They did not have insurance Paul. Obviously we will be speaking to them and seeing if they can get the new equipment insured. Re Dash they went through an application process as did WPR and were granted funding. I will see if Paula can give some insight.
