Would have to say a northern soul monster... I'm On My Way - Dean Parrish. But I could have picked one of many from that genre. It was a minor hit in 1975 (got to about No. 44) after gaining popularity at Wigan Casino, having been originally released in 1968.

bloody marvellous song, I've just compiled a cd of northern gems for our wedding, virtually all of the classics are relatively unknown, how about Torture, Maxine Brown, splendid tune :clap2:

Like others, I could sit here and do a list that runs into thousands, but will stick with:

Red Guitars, Good Technology

That brings back memories.

Chefs - 24 hours
Ciccone Youth - Addicted to love, Robert Palmer's cheesy lyrics sung by a woman sounds much much better.

Coolio - Too Hot

I must be the only person who remembers this flashback from 1995, it was overshadowed by "Gangsta's Paradise".

Glorious Goodwood
Willie the Pimp - Frank Zappa & Captain Beafheart or
Toilet Love - Wayne County and the Electric Chairs.

I think Wayne became Jayne some time in the 1980s

My Life Story - Mr Boyd

Great band - have to say I prefer Girl A, Girl B, Boy C myself.
Saw them at the Concorde. About 24 of them crammed onto the stage.

I would like to nominate What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy) by Information Society. Part of it was frequently used on a trail by Steve Power on Southern FM years ago.

The whole of the Hybrid Theory Ep by Linkin Park.
(Not to be confused with their Hybrid Theory album.)
Class, a lot rawer the their two albums.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - 'Dazzle' (the 12" version especially rules)

Chameleons - 'In Shreds'

Paul Brady - Helpless Heart

The Damned - Amen

Robert Palmer - Whisper to a Scream

Mountain - Nantucket Sleighride

Stranglers - No Mercy

Talking Heads - Paper

Ultravox - Slow Motion

Magazine - Give Me Everything

(oh dear, I'm getting carried away...again)
