I have these arguments with my Brother in-law every week, he's an arch royalist. Wouldn't surprise me if he has posters in his bedroom of Charles and the Queen. He's going to go up to London to celebrate Charles becoming king.
I can think of better ways to spend my Saturday's.

I vastly differ from my in-laws politically. I made a pledge to myself to just brush aside the topic if it ever comes up as we will never agree. It made life so much easier.

It sounds like you need to do the same if it's every week and you still disagree.

Good grief. The point scoring from both sides of the political spectrum on this thread is vile. With both sides taking the moral high ground. How about everyone winding their neck in and just wishing a 95 year old woman, who recently lost her husband, well in her fight against a pernicious disease?.
