If they win promotion the £120m estimated prize would go a long way towards building a new ground. It would at least get them started then they could revert back to normal and knock the builders and pay 1p in the pound as is usual.

Today was shit for us, Palace showing that they're a step ahead of us as a club, I feel sick, angry and jealous and I so hope they only last one season, as if they stay up there for a few good years that would be even shittier.

True, but Southampton dominated this league for much of the season, only losing ground to a scintillating late run from Reading. Palace have been crap since about January, they lose Zaha for good and Murray until Christmas, and at present have the prospect of Kevin Phillips and Aaron Wilbraham to terrify Premier League defenders.

I imagine every single club in the PL has just rubbed their hands with joy at Palace going up.
