Adam El Abd - Definitely a new deal and see how he copes in The Championship
Alan Navarro - Short term deal to see if he has recovered and is capable of replacing Kish
Augustin Battipiedi - Not convinced but may give him a year and put him out on loan for 3 months and have another look at Christmas
Christian Baz - As Battipedi but feel we will bring in at least 1 more midfielder.
Fran Sandaza - Short term with an extention option to see if he can make the step up in class
Gary Dicker - A new deal but think he will be more of a squad player between him and Nav as to who will replace Kish.
Gary Hart - Time to say thank you and allow him to further his career somewhere else in whatever capacity he choses
Glenn Murray- Definitely sign him up to a longish contract.
Jamie Smith - Not shown enough for me so No
Liam Birdcutt - As per Dicker
Michael Poke - Time to decide on 3rd goalkeeper him or Walker
Radostin Kishishev - Sad to see him go but thank you 1 more season would possibly 1 too long. The right decision to retire.
Ryan Simmonds - Not seen enough but based on the fact that he isnt a reserve team regular I would think his prospects are slim
Thorbjorn Agdestein - Possible 1 year in the developement squad to assess him further
Yaser Kasim- Gus must have seen something in him but as he couldnt make the team in Div 1 the prospects for The Championship are doubtful.

Regardless of what division we're in, we should offer new deals to:
  • Adam El Abd, Gary Dicker, Glenn Murray - 2 years. All three are more than good enough for the division above.
  • Liam Bridcutt - 3 years. Younger, a better prospect, and plays an increasingly important role in the modern game. The most saleable asset of the four IMO, so get him signed up long-term.
Definitely renew if we don't go up, possibly renew if we do go up:
  • Jamie Smith - 1 year; I think he's had a tough deal here, has impressed when he's appeared and should maybe be given more time.
  • Alan Navarro - 1 year; depends on how he comes back from injury, but worth another year on the assumption he regains last season's form.
Could go either way:
  • Augustin Battipiedi / Cristian Baz - maybe worth another year's deal and loan them out, or move them into the development squad. Still young and adapting to the English game, and they've both shown hints that they could do a job. Would like to see them stay, it's not like they're on mega-money.
  • Fran Sandaza - think he'll go if we go up, for all his super-sub impact, he's too injury prone and not quick, physical or technically good enough to justify another year in the division above. If we don't get promoted, could be worth a year.
  • Ryan Simmonds / Torbjorn Agdestein / Yaser Kasim - Impossible to call as I haven't seen anything of them, but just because they haven't broken into the first team yet doesn't necessarily mean they should be released. They've made the bench so Gus must consider them as at least fringe players with decent potential.
Let go:
  • Gary Hart - time for the legend to take a bow in the ramp-up games and then let him go with our best wishes, either to a lower-league club or into coaching. Little room for sentimentality in football but OGH has been the definition of a model professional in his time, and deserves some sort of gesture from the club even if his contribution to the first team is over.
  • Michael Poke - never made an impact, and Mitch Walker is a more than capable 3rd choice, and better prospect IMO.
  • Radostin Kishishev - supposedly retiring, and I think Navarro coming back is a like-for-like replacement, so wouldn't press him too hard to try and stay on, age isn't on his side.

Taricco signed a new 4 year deal when Gus did

Good point, my list consists of those players and how long they will be with us and I have Taricco on there as finishing this season as he has said he doesn't want to play next season. My mistake
