Adam El Abd definitely with out a doubt.
Alan Navarro would need to see how he recovers.
Augustin Battipiedi Don't think he's good enough for Championship level providing we go up.
Cristian Baz I think he has something to offer, maybe loan him out to a lower club.
Fran Sandaza I think he has something to offer still.
Gary Dicker Very key player so yes.
Gary Hart I think Hart will be good in the coaching staff.
Glenn Murray Without a doubt.
Jamie Smith Yes, young promising player.
Liam Bridcutt Yes.
Michael Poke No.
Radostin Kishishev Yeah but he has plans to retire so looks unlikely.
Ryan Simmonds Haven't seen enough of him.
Thorbjorn Agdestein Haven't seen enough of him.
Yaser Kasim Haven't seen enough of him.

Adam El Abd - Yes, the improvement he's made under Gus mean we have to keep him as I expect him to get better and better
Alan Navarro - Yes, give him a year with an option to extended further, err on the side of caution just incase he can't re-create the form he was in pre injury
Augustin Battipiedi - No, see nothing in him, too lightweight, won't get in the side ahead of most of the other midfielders.
Cristian Baz - Maybe, shows glimpses he is a decent player but they are too few and far between, jury still out.
Fran Sandaza - Maybe, he gets goals coming off the bench but like Baz jury is out on if he can perform at a higher level
Gary Dicker - Yes, I am certain he'll perform at a higher level. Could be a key player for us next season.
Gary Hart - No, thanks for the many years service, a run out in the Kuipers testimonial when it happens so he can grace the Falmer pitch but I don't think he's worth keeping on in a playing role. Maybe he'll be kept on in some sort of coaching capacity for the development squad?
Glenn Murray - Yes, a real no brainer for me, he must be kept on, scores goals, we look a better team when he starts a game.
Jamie Smith - Yes, I'd give him another year, looks good and been unlucky with injury.
Liam Bridcutt - Yes, improving with every game, keeping him would lessen the blow of Kish hanging up his boots.
Michael Poke - No, Don't see him getting infront of Casper or Brez, think Walker is a better prospect as backup.
Radostin Kishishev - Yes, if we can persuade him to play on for another year I'd give him a contract but sadly I think his mind is made up.

Ryan Simmonds, Thorbjorn Agdestein Yaser Kasim - Extended their development deals at least and see how they perform. They are not going to be eating up a massive amount of the budget and we could make a mistake if we make a decision to release them too early.

Pretty sure El-Abd signed a new deal and ISN'T out of contract. Bad fans all of you

his contract was due last summer but he signed a twelve month extension (which kicked off all the fuss about Forster) so yes, his deal is up this summer
(but I couldn't have told you half the others that expire this summer :))

On the basis that we go up ...

Adam El Abd - deal. Our most improved player and deserves chance
Alan Navarro - tricky one. May struggle to get in current side, but if he proves his worth on returning ... deal
Augustin Battipiedi - no deal. Has offered too little. Offload.
Cristian Baz - no deal. Looked promising at times, but too little progress. Probably hampered by few opportunities.
Fran Sandaza - no deal. On his way it seems, and despite handy knack of toepoke goals doesn't have enough pace or guile for Championship
Gary Dicker - deal. No-brainer.
Gary Hart - no deal as a player. Albion legend, but unless coaching role is possible, local non-league beckons.
Glenn Murray - deal. Another no-brainer. Will shine in Championship.
Jamie Smith - deal. I've always rated him and think he has real potential. Make or break next season though.
Liam Birdcutt - deal. One of our best finds this season.
Michael Poke - no deal. Better luck elsewhere.
Radostin Kishishev - retiring, but if fit would still be great value to have around.
Ryan Simmonds - no idea.
Thorbjorn Agdestein - only young, so still one for the future. Short-term deal.
Yaser Kasim - no idea.

NB Expect this thread to be dug up at the end of the season to see who has hit the nail on the head, who has bruised his thumb and who just completely lost his hammer.

Interestingly, Adam El Abd has played in the championship for Brighton. Only him and OGH have played at that level in the stipes and are still on the club's books (well, and Oatway).

Interesting one. Assuming we were in the championship, I think what people are forgetting is that we will probably need a bigger squad (and are more likely to be able to loan players down the pyramid), and I think its unrealistic to get rid of as many as people seem to want to - are we likely to be able to bring in 10? For me, I'd say:

Adam El Abd - 100% yes
Alan Navarro - probably, squad player at the very least
Augustin Battipiedi - potential squad player, although would get rid if we can properly upgrade the squad
Cristian Baz - as above, to be honest I'm not sure which ones which but neither are as terrible as some would like to make out
Fran Sandaza - squad player, keep
Gary Dicker - 100% yes
Gary Hart - give him 3 months and a run out at Amex, if he is game maybe coaching badges and he can play at lewes/eastbourne next year, although can see him wanting another year in league or conference prem
Glenn Murray - 100% yes
Jamie Smith - squad player, depending on who else we can get
Liam Birdcutt - 100% yes
Michael Poke - we need a 3rd keeper...
Radostin Kishishev - squad player, depending on who else we can get
Ryan Simmonds - who?
Thorbjorn Agdestein - presumably the "development squad" has either worked or it hasn't, so we'll see, I certainly don't know
Yaser Kasim - as above

Overall, the ones I would think about letting go are:
Baz, Battipiedi, Smith and Kishishev - but I don't really think we want to be downsizing the squad that much.
I have no idea how the development guys are getting on, but can't be too much harm in giving them another year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sandaza kept on. I don't think we've seen the best of him yet. If Gus sees potential in them, the Argie youngsters might both stay too, but ees compleecaed as we don't know what they earn.

IMO the Chairman and Gus have ambitions of achieving promotion to the Premiership within 3 years. Thats not me saying we necessarily will but that I think they have an ambitious view on things in order for this club to achieve.

Adam El Abd has been outstanding this season and hopefully if promoted he can do well next year, but I'm not sure he will be offered a 3 year contract at end of this season as suggested previously.

Still if Gus thinks so ......let it be....club also has to look at it as protecting its assets.

Adam El Abd - yes definitely as the improvement has been amazing
Alan Navarro - in the few games he played "out of Crofts' shadow" as it were he was different class so yes
Augustin Battipiedi - I don't know. I think Gus intended to play them in gradually this year but has to get his best team out every game now that we're near promotion
Cristian Baz - same as Batti - they both look keen but have been out of the scene for a few weeks
Fran Sandaza - yes. I really do think Senor Sandaza has hidden depths - as he was the one Gus had been after for ages I think we haven't seen the best of him
Gary Dicker - yes - no question about it
Gary Hart - no - offer him a coaching job though
Glenn Murray - yes if he'll be up for it every week
Jamie Smith - yes as the flashes we've seen he's looked very very good
Liam Birdcutt - definitely
Michael Poke - sorry no
Radostin Kishishev - sadly he has said he'll probably retire - again he could be a good coach if he wanted to stay
Ryan Simmonds - not seen so can't comment
Thorbjorn Agdestein - as for Simmonds
Yaser Kasim - - did he come on very briefly in a cup game ? Apart from that I don't think I've seen him
