Apparently we got nothing from the ref and should have been home and dry had we put our chances away before conceding that late goal. Sounds like another Crewe result

Good away support and we're still 6th in the division so not all bad.

Still a young team, we seem to have found a bit of confidence, play decent football but are struggling to score away from home. Gonna take time and at least we have a squad that should improve and be able to compete in this league. Could be much worse, we could be Gillingham

I'm not too worried, if we can keep up the good home form and pick up the odd win away, we should stay in condention for the Top 6.

Even if we average 1 point a game away from home, that would leave us needing about 50 points from our home games, roughly 2 points a game...which is very do-able.

We're only 6 points ahead of Leeds too...

i'll have a rant later, yes we were denied by a sub standard ref ( at least 2 maybe 3 pens for handball) ,but the attitude of stewards / police is more important, the withdean crowd were transported to pikeyfield, talk about shit away support, apart from about 100 or so who tried to sing and give the lads the support they deserved , the rest might of well as stayed at home...................... as for bakesey and gong well thats another rant :albion2:

as the old bill told us , stopped for making a noise in a public place , complaint and response on way to club and sussex police,

The game was there for the taking. The prospect of only having one point against such poor opposition was bad enough but to come away with nothing was shamefull.

Forget the ref and those poor decisions. If the team had had the right frame of mind then we should have steamed into them from the start. In the end theire goalkeeper, who was injured for much of the 2nd half, was hardly troubled.

the team performance was very poor today and gave us nothing to shout about - chicken and egg perhaps but look how we got behind the team last week after an early goal, and when Savage/Robinson came on againast Southend.

I also found most of the side splitting chants very irritating - pikeys, chavs, caravans, I could hardly contain my laughter especially when the "venom" was directed at about ten 16 year olds.

Ref was poor but we got what we deserved against a crap team.

Very disappointing atmosphere from our fans, and stewards were just general idiots. I asked one lady steward why I had to sit even on the back row, she said for health and safety reasons, how one person standing on the back row is causing a health and safety issue I will never know.

Our support used to be far better than it is now, we used to nearly all stand up and sing nearly every game, and that was only a few years ago. What's happened?

dickhead stewards and shite football is what's happened. added to the fact there was no roof so whatever singing we tried to generate was lost in the air straight away. shit away day.

can't wait till an away like leeds where everyones actually up for the game and wanting to get a bit of a buzz going in the stands.

Everybody's saying it was poor football but it was my first game of the season and i thought there was a marked improvement on last season. They came out fired up and put the pressure on, zipped the ball about well. The only thing we didn't do was create that many scoring chances or actually score when we did get the chance.

My only real complaint would be that in the final stages of the match we always seemed second to the ball and the desire to get there first was gone.

Didn't think the football was that poor. Lots of neat passing let down by the final ball, and a lack of cutting edge up front. Bas tried to pass a few times when he should've just had a pop, the same for O'callaghan. As for the atmosphere, there were a few at the back who tried to get things going (I was right side) but I completely agree with the withdean comment, everyone else was probably discussing Rupert and Jennifer's first week back at school in between the light ripples of applause
