The pitch was sand and mud. It was difficult to do accurate passes because the pitch was so bobbly. The sun was in Roberts eyes throughout the first half but I reckon it was a point gained.

We did have the majority of possession in the first half and their goal came out of nowhere.

Having scored it then they did try and put a lot of pressure on us in the second half but we defended well and the equaliser was well deserved.

McPhee should never have been booked for being shoved in the back (diving ref?) but Roberts should have kept out of the general melee and was lucky to only get a yellow.

Good day out as Ned & I didn't even have to pay. As we parked up someone came up to us and gave us 2 free tickets.
Great stuff.

I thought Roberts was lucky to only get a yellow :dunce:. He ran half the length of the pitch and seemed to throw a couple of slaps. It looked like he slipped or something for their goal as well.

I was wondering where all the match reports were. I forgot to take into account I only live a 40 min bus ride away. Guess I'm the :dunce: :p

On a sidenote, Stockport must be the scally capital of England. The town centre was filled with them, I've never seen anything like it. It almost makes me happy that places like Manchester has students to lower the ratio!

Virgs had a great game and I was pleased he scored.

Virgo was good, he was so determined when he went for the header for the goal. Though Harding had a strong 2nd half too - one intervention saved a certain goal.
The pitch was so bad, it made for the scrappiest game I've seen in a long time.
Who would have put money on our front line ending up Robinson & David Lee in the 2nd half? What a shame there was no one with a bit of presence to support the lively Robinson.
2 points lost at the end of the day.

Well, with our away record, maybe we have to be content with the point. Need to win the next 2 at home midweekers now though.

This goal had been coming for Virgo

Re. the pitch - you can only really have rugby and footy sharing if you spend a lot of money on the surface. At the Madjet the Desso surface cost well over half a million quid and was paid for jointly by Reading and Irish, and the Madjet grass is as indestructable as Captain Scarlet's pubes.

Good experience for McPhee and Robinson to be paired in the 2nd half, but still hoping Trev's knock is not too serious for Tuesday.
