Who would make that call though? And how would you differentiate “atmosphere is better because there is a drum” from “atomosphere is better because we’re winning games”, and whether the first of those led to the second?

The drum can ONLY back up songs and keep them going and at the right pace.... not start a song and hope people join in or just a contant drone like at bournemouth

I sincerely hope that everyone who said "NO" to a drum sings at every opportunity to try and lift the atmosphere, because evidence of for e.g. the first half against Newcastle, 90% of the crowd is willing to just sit back and mumble to their mates about their pie being too hot.

Arsenal right now - a true example of why drummers are not to be trusted. Just a racket, just noise - doing nothing for the atmosphere which is the same as every other drum I've ever heard at a ground.

The atmosphere is great.... When is a big game and we are winning. We need to think why that is not the case for every game.
The amount it times I hear people here say something like "if the players do their job it will help" is frightening. They really answers it for me.
