How the f*** am I supposed to know if you're being sarcastic or serious?

Use smileys you f***ing slice. :jester:

That particular post didn't need one. It's for each poster to take it as they will. If they are being serious then they can take it seriously, if not then they wo't take it seriously. Sometimes people need to work it out for themselves.

Of course no-one is going to be banned, but we have to accept that different people see different significance in the same words.

Some of us laugh out loud, some of us are deeply offended and most are somewhere in between.

Using smilies helps to ease the numbers of those who would otherwise be deeply offended. As I say, I'm more guilty of most in not using smilies to impart tone in my posts.

I totally agree in what you are saying. Some people take things to heart when it's really meant as a bit of fun.

Me, I couldn't careless if people insulted me all night long. Thick skinned me........waiting for a sarcastic comment ?
???

lets face it
they are just the last resort of saddos who cant think of two words to tag together and are used solely to elevate the post count of dwebs fools and schoolboys.

You have a point with your comment but you are wrong.

There not smilies but emoticons. They are meant to express feelings so to avoid confusion.

ie

bozza is a tosser.:lolol:

Bozza is a tosser:angry:

See?

I think your arguement should be about the abuse and misuse of em. ???

says smileys above the little box of crap i can see on the left as i type.
trouble is most posts on this forum consist of saddos clicking in that box.

save bandwidth, save power, save the environment, save upload time when you want to log on,save the whale, save wear and tear on your keyboard and the little pinky you type with.

if you dont have a comment.dont post.
