Fill in the boxes to make 3 (or 4) word phrases. When a box links back to itself, it's a phrase such as back to back. The red boxes will (when read from top to bottom, left to right) form a question requiring a general knowledge answer. Enjoy!

You're doomed. I needed the answer for this one.

Bear in mind that the lists are in order, but not lined up.

The order for the left hand side starts with TA, CH, Ap etc. Match up the right hand side in an order that when filled in will spell an (obscure) word.

I've got them matched up, but I can't get a word out of the middle, even tried loads of variations of letters where I can.
This is really pissing me off now.

Cracker. The only one that didn't make sense was Hill of Beans.

I can't get any of the word to fit!!

Starting with cracker I get

pull a cracker
pull the curtain
draw the curtain
draw your conclusion

then it all falls apart!

Cracker/Conclusion/Jump/Hoops

Pull/Draw/Picture/Town

Curtains/Weapons/Paint/Wagon

Lower/Coat/Tin/Beans

I've put the whole thing into paint shop and have tried manipulating the things but I can't seem to rotate a paint brush!

Is that Richard of York one? If so then you need to cut and paste in Paint. Then, go through the colours in order and the boxes with each colour mark out a letter. So all the boxes with a red edge will show a letter. Then Orange, Yellow etc. Can't remember the answer but this shoudl help.

I'll be away from Puzzle Donkey for a while as I'm off to Exeter in a mo and then have to drive home. See if you can catch me up as I need help on 4.2.3!
