I've never understood why some are so keen for us to play 4-4-2. Is it just because it's a formation people understand and have experience of? So few decent teams play it these days as it's such a rigid system and requires two very good CMs. ThIs season we've been overrun in midfield with three CMs so not sure why some are so keen on this system..
