Just back from the Monday Matinee at Duke of York's. 20,000 Days on Earth is a real treat. Straightforward enough to decipher, it has a dreamlike quality throughout. Documentary it ain't. Ray Winstone, Kylie, Blixa Bargeld drift in and out, we see a gentler side to the mad monk that is Warren Ellis and the music is everything you hoped for, highlights include some sweet snippets of 'Push The Sky Away' and a damn powerful extended rehearsal of 'Higgs Boson Blues'. And all framed by Brighton. What's not to love?
