Well, I wouldn't have minded that so much, but Gordon Brown pretty clearly ruled that out today. Whatever happens, the next leader of the labour party will be elected in the proper manner, Harman won't be a candidate, and Brown won't go until that election is complete.

Brown would have to die for Harman to take over now.
