The New FM 2008

I use to love this game. But for me I think they've absolutely cock it up. The patch still doesn't sort out the obvious mistakes, such as defenders running away from the ball when the strikers are baring down on goal. So many controversal offsides and penaltys. Any formation you try, they seem to don't work.

Ok there is plenty more mistakes that I can't remember of my head, but anyway someone tell me if this is unrealistic or what. I was doing so well with Albion, then I reach November and went on a unbelievable three month losing streak!

So let have it out, is the new Football Manager good or bad. You decide?

Far too many disallowed goals and harder to stop a losing streak, but it is still quite enjoyable. However, it will never have me hooked as it did c99/00/01. That was the peak of the game IMO.

lost interest in the FM series a couple of years ago...when you've got a decent GPU its pointless to waste it on a game that does'nt require its usage!

well its like buying a McLaren F1 and never going above 30mph...so YEAH

I got through a season of the latest one.. took on the job of managing Ebsfleet to try and familiarise myself with their players for future MyFC discussions. Managed to go on a long winning streak putting me in 2nd place, then we went on a 8 game losing streak and morale plummeted. Won a couple of games, and finally another long losing/drawing streak to get sacked after the last game of the season. Despite having a fairly decent team, could not find a formation that worked to change things around.

Mid October I was flying. November onwards, had to be the worse ever expeirence I had in a football management game.

Way to hard this year around and am tempted on trying out the new Championship Manager

Fozzie had a cracking first season alongside Jakey. Second season he must have picked up some awful disease as he couldn't score for love nor money (not that i tried offering him love ).
Third season I had him loaned out to Burgess Hill. 15 games, 0 goals

Im about 25 games into my first seaon and am yet to see a disallowed goal.

For the record I am Valarenga and am joint 2nd in the norweigen premiership.

Very VERY annoying, everything about the game is good, apart from the actually match play.

If I'm going through a losing streak I employ a decent assistant manager (Mark Bowen is good) and let him play for a couple of weeks

I dont rate it that highly, as has already been mentioned winning and losing streaks are unrealistic - I started the season with Shff Utd won my first 13 games by 2 or 3 goasthen lost 10 on the bounce for no reason, which pretty much ruined my chances of going up.
