Are there any pictures of early concepts? I've got the book somewhere but not sure where it is at the moment

I know its not a concept but during the building process I posted these on the 31/08/2010 that I received via my boss who got them from a certain member of the board

That's funny. I could hace SWORN the submission to the Secretary of State (aka Prescott the Pie-Man) had a green roof..and was a lot lower..

Don't know if this is what you're looking for but went digging around google images for a little timeline.

A very old concept sourced from the BBC:


Second stage of design with the grassy roof


Third stage at night, roof is slightly altered


Final design, the only differences to now being the car park is considerably larger and the empty corners inside the stadium


I never really noticed how the most enduring part of the design was the angle of the roof, ditching the grass was probably a good idea
