......Of Russell Slade. He seems intelligent and articulate, perhaps not actually that different to Gannon. He also seems to have a very positive confident outlook that should rub off on the players.

One thing though, how did the get into management? Did he play pro football?

He played for Notts County, and was on the bench when they beat us in the play off at Wembley.

He spent 11 years there before ending up as manager.

I have a good feeling about RS too, he left Yeovil as they lacked ambition so i dont think he will pussyfoot around the players and say they need a hug when the chips are down. Hopefully he will turn things around and sign a long term deal and get us in the championship ready for falmer. Alternatively he could be shit.

Shit, i'm still worried, sorry guys he's just not got a lot of time, I was rooting for Pardew, he'd have kept us up and got rid of Booker and White in the process, i really think they have to go.
Hope i'm wrong, but we'll see.

What is it with this Booker & White abuse? Have you ever actually witnessed what they do behind the scenes? If not f*** off.

Everybody needs a scapegoat I guess.

His record at Scarborough gives me great hope:

"Slade's first permanent managerial post was at Nationwide Conference side Scarborough. When he arrived in November 2001 the club were adrift at the bottom of the Conference and looking doomed. His first match in charge resulted in a home win over Farnborough Town but the next three games yielded just one point. However a remarkable run of 39 points from the final 19 games of the season meant Scarborough finished 12th. He was hailed as a hero by the fans and his stock rose when taking the team to 4th position by Christmas in the 2002–03 season".

Since then he has done well at Grimsby and Yeovil. I'm very positive about this appointment.

I hope you are right, but MA had a positive, confident outlook when he re-joined!

He did indeed but he'd done close to f*** all since he left and nothing in the last few years whereas Slade seems to have had consistent and recent success at this level. Looking good imo
