I have only seen them live once, last November.....I was amazed how brilliant they and the crowd were. The band really seemed to be enjoying the gig as well. I did not hesitate to buy tickets for this new tour. As most of their albums are themed...I do not think their diversity shines as much on vinyl as it does live. I was quite blown away.

Saw Pigs x 7 last night. Needed ear plugs for this one and still the noise was pretty immense. Second support act, also from Newcastle were called Irked and equally noisy. Female vocalist did a good job fronting and pretty sure we will hear more from them. Pigs have just released their 5th album and played mostly from this. It was the second night of the tour so band were fresh and up for it. If you like Black Sabbath then worth investing some time listening in.

Saw them at The Dome last year. They did a full show and staging/lighting was as you would expect very imaginative. You’ll love it.

Saw the amazing Hania Rani perform Ghosts (mostly) with an ensemble at Barbican last night.

Was properly swept away by the lush music and ethereal vocals.

A good way to forget the afternoon...

She is great, isn't she?
Lucky to see her last year, great evening.

Great little festival, Crocroland, ten minutes walk from Selhurst Park, last weekend - managed to sneak away for the game (wish I hadn't bothered!). Lots of good stuff, highlights: the amazing Benefits, Loose Articles, Billy Nomates, Goat Girl, Yuke and Scrounge.

Heading off to Courting tonight, at Oslo Hackney, really like their new album, even if it is a little short. Seeing Hallan on Friday at the hope and ruin, and then Father John Misty at the Dome on Monday, looking forward to that a lot. Got some tickets for Bambara as well on the 22nd April, which is another good band coming over to these shores. Plenty of gigs about at the moment.

Saw Slow Fiction at Omera Bar in London on Tues. They are back over here from New York after playing Great Escape and the Windmill in May.

Absolutely superb - female-fronted, Strokes-y riffs. Thrilling band. Highly recommended if you are doing Mutations (they are playing tomorrow) or Pitchfork in London. They're also at Moth Club next week and supporting English Teacher at Koko.
Great early spot - I saw them at Mutations last year after your recommendation and they were decent but their new single ‘When’ from Speedy Wunderground is absolutely superb! Very reminiscent of The Walkmen (which is a good thing imo).

Obviously not cool enough for this thread but off to see Tygers Of Pan Tang at Factory Live in Worthing tonight (one for the old NWOBH heads on here)
That is very much cool enough for this thread. Annoyingly I am elsewhere this evening, and when they play Hammerdown Festival at Chalk in July I'll be coming back from Maiden in Vienna so I'll miss their other local appearance too. Enjoy the gig!

Mutations was the worst gig I've seen them play and the sound was rubbish. I was pretty disappointed with that gig tbh, whereas the other times I've seen them they have been fantastic. One of them was upstairs at the Pipeline at last year's Great Escape. Shot some vids:

They are back in the UK in November and might hopefully also do some summer festival dates.

Just a shame they have Marc Cucurella on drums...

If I was in the UK I’d be there.

Have had them on a lot today, and I'm a big fan. Really like the Walkmen comparison, especially on 'When'
