In many quarters, we've already lost the game. Even with the boon of a new manager, people are still rather negative. So anything we get from this game is a bonus, really, or that is the feeling I get on here.

So, why risk further injury to kuipers in a game which we've mostly accepted we'll lose anyway?

On top of that,. though it was only 45mins, Smith kept a clean sheet on Tuesday, which will have given him some confidence.

Barring injury, we should have the same back four for the third game in a row. How often have we said that this year? And I thought they showed more composure on tuesday than they did on sunday, seeming better awareness (I noticed a few times when El Abd was out of position Tunnicliffe and Whing covered him, and when whing wa sout of position tunnicliffe covered him - they are getting to know each other and forming a good unit).

Factoring in the risk to further injury to kuipers, I say give Smith the chance.

It's gotta be Mr Kippers for me (although strangely the voting appears to closed now).

How's about this:

Looking at the weather and weather predictions, game tomorrow called off due to waterlogged pitch. Kuipers has more time to recover, the rest of boys get a rest, poyet gets more time with the team to work in training, then we can face leeds on the back of a longer winning streak, with more momentum, a fit kuipers, a fit mcnulty, and a team doing exactly what poyet wants.

Smith, surely?

The times he has been in goal, has been with an underperforming back 4 infront of him. All but one goal he's conceded he couldn't have done much about. 45 minutes without conceding would have done him well on Wednesday.

No point risking someone who isn't 100% fit. To say play Kuipers and let someone else take goal kicks would be an absolute insult to Smith. Would also mean Kuipers would be rolling/throwing the ball out aswell. Silly idea.
