Missed it after the match - Steven Smith has retired from ODIs. Will remain playing for Tests through at least the next Ashes. Remains available for T20's as well, but I suspect it's unlikely he'll ever play another (he'd already been dropped by the selectors).

Well so far, as one-sided as feared. NZ 108 for 4 off 23.2 and looking very bogged down. And actually worse than it looks; NZ scored at 7s in the opening power play. So about 40 runs off the last 14 overs, give or take.
