Jimmy Melia or Micky Adams?

:clap2: :clap2:

Micky for me for what or where he got the club!

JIMMY MELIA? Are you quite mad? He got us relegated and we'd have won the Cup if he'd been a bit quicker off the mark with his substitution and hadn't let Chris Ramsey hobble around uselessly whilst United scored.

Adams is the best in my lifetime followed by the original Peter Taylor (RIP) who laid the framework for Mullery to take over.

Melia may have been quite a bit off the marK!! Nice shoes mind....but in my life time I would have to say Mickey Adams for where he got the club of which Tinker Taylor inherited!

Adams For Me Too...

But i wouldn't mind seeing that famous picture of Alan Mullery again... Where can i find it?

:lolol:

Between Alan Mullery and Micky Adams IMO. Micky Adams had very little to spend whereas Mullery had cash to splash. Mullery inherited a team that was on the up, Micky inherited a shower of shit. What MA achieved in a short time was a miracle.

I think you've made a good argument for Adams there Zeitgeist!

However, I still think Peter Taylor I gets the nod for putting the foundations of the Mullery team firmly in place. All Mullers had to do was hold onto the reins.

Chris Cattlin, also the most under rated manager. Sacked for saying the club was underachieving. At the time we were 6th in the old 2nd (now 1st) division. He also inherited all the player problems of a relegated side and had started to turn it into a fine footballing side

Never given the time to prove himself and by all accounts still an Albion fanatic now. Unlike Mr Adams, who did an exceptional job but was only here to use us as a stepping stone.

First Peter Taylor followed closely by Mickey Adams (who does still care about the Albion)
