I'm didn't think it was a foul, but I wasn't at all surprised to see it given as a foul.
How many times in major championships has there been a challenge that appears to impede a goalkeeper that wasn't given as a foul? Over the last ten years the goalkeeper has always gained the benefit of the doubt in these cases, and I think it was the same here.
The bad luck for England was that the first attempt didn't go straight in. If we blame others for our failings, we won't work on the things we need to improve to do better.
