To save all this mucking about re REMF flag threads before each away game why don't we ask the mods to:

- create a REMF flag forum
- start a thread in it for each away game
- lock the forum so no more threads can be created in it

We can then all post on each thread for each away game details re:

- who has got / will be getting safety officer clearance
- will it be on supporters club coach?
- who can take it in their car if not
- who can help move it from coach / car to ground and back again

I live in the midlands myself so could not drive it up from Withdean but could stick it in my car whenever needed to get from coach to ground re games such as Forest / Derby / Coventry / Crewe / Stoke / Wolves / Shef Utd / Rotherham

All the fuss on previous threads loses sight of why REMF started and the fact that 3,000 people lost their lives and the shock that was felt around the world after that; we created the flag as something to be proud of not fall out about

We have a great opportunity to show off the flag at a lot of good grounds this season; so lets make the most of them

I am sure we were not voted no 1 fans by football supporters federation for ou ability to fall out over petty threads etc

NSC is often full of threads re childish behaviour of players ( normally Leon Knight! ) so lets not behave the same way!!!

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered. The more are always the merrier! Especially as I'm living proof of the uselessness of a one-legged person in a bottom kicking competition. Or, in this case, a flag carrying entourage.

As soon as I get final details as to times, etc. I'll post them on here for the benefit of all you lovely volunteers. And all the lovely volunteers who may still find themselves able to help.

Ok let's try and clear this up once and for all.

One person has been quite rudely told not to get involved so let's have a very clear, concise and "for the avoidance of doubt" statement that advises us all which NSC fans have the right to arrange this.

This will then give clarity to any poster about who they can contact if they feel the need to try and set about getting the REMF flag to a game.

Secondly it appears some people have a right to totally be rude to someone and then just apologise and we should all forget.

I disagree with this and no-one has the right to be so abusive over someone elses idea, which is a good idea to take the REMF flag to a game.

I accept the fact if you are abusive then you accept it back, one person infamous for this doesn't seem to be on the board so much.

I do not accept being abusive when not required.

OK, but could everyone agree that when I post the THIRD Giant Flag thread, it'll be for the making of final arrangements for Saturday?

Please?

Sorry Beachy but this is now beginning to get to me as well! So if a 3rd thread is necessary to keep things simple then, to paraphrase your comments, FFS we'll have to have one!!

Getting the flag to Watford is now sorted and all that's now needed is to AMICABLY arrange a group of volunteers to help get the flag from the coach. People have kindly come forwards and I'll just want to post final details about meeting up, etc.

I don't want to read any more aggro on any thread about the flag in the days before the third anniversary of Robert's death.

I don't come over all "appealing" very often but tonight is a rare exception. So I am appealing to everyone to let bygones be bygones. Or at least argue with each other elsewhere!

Enough. I'm retiring for the night lest I become embarassingly emotional.
