Just got the okay from John Alcock at the Britannia Stadium. We can pass it over the heads of the fans then lay it on the netting in the front of the stand. They are expecting about 1,200-1,400 Albion fans on the day, let's hope we don't disappoint them!

Hopefully the collection of the flag has been sorted out but if you can lend a hand on the day you'll be thanked!

DO NOT TAKE THE FLAG IF IT IS RAINING OR SNOWING.

REPEAT.

DO NOT TAKE THE FLAG IF IT IS RAINING OR SNOWING.

UNLESS YOU HAVE A VERY BIG TUMBLE DRYER AT HOME.

A word of warning to flag drivers that unless you have pre-arranged people to help you carry it you will not be able to lug it around by yourself for it is HEAVY.

Thanking you.

Well that is the blue touch paper lit.

Go on then. I'll fan the flames.

30,000 didn't bother at Cardiff.

Just a warning but this only works IF you pre-arrange some people to help.

If you have then

Although still remember about the weather as the Flag is impossible to dry and clean once it gets dirty and wet, without major expense.

...ahem...

  ;)

Agree with Lush - get some people pre-arranged to help... it got all cocked-up at Cardiff, and we ended up lugging it for about 30 minutes til we eventually found a willing driver from Brighton & Hove Coaches.

And yes, it IS very heavy when it is just dry - I dread to think what it feel like to carry it if it was wet.

PS. Sorry, can't help on Satdi despite living near - am recovering from flu, and about to move house (the two are unrelated!)

On the basis of current weather forecast for around here ( near Stoke where I live ) there will be snow and flag will probably be frozen or close to by end of game; assuming game still on.

Suggest we follow advice from Lush and reluctantly don't bother taking it to Stoke

According to the BBC, for the stadium location (entering postcode ST4 4EG) its going to be cold with a bit of rain. Doesn't mention anything about snow.
