What is it with these people? They are now trying to say that Agincourt was a sham and that the English were involved in acts of barbarism. RUBBISH!

Give them a traditional English two fingered salute? ???

According to a popular legend the two-fingers salute and/or V sign derives from the gestures of longbowmen fighting in the English army at the Battle of Agincourt

Because when the French captured British archers they chopped off the two fingers used to pull the bow back, hence whenever British archers faced the French they used to show them that they had those fingers, hence the V sign...or is that just an urban myth???

I think the two fingers salute came about because those frenchies used to cut off the fingers of bowman. Hence showing the two fingers were still there

I disagree, if they hadn't let the Germans in quite so easily we would have had to traipse all the way to Belgium to engage them in battle, rather than just nipping across the Channel.

But we had to blow up their warships before they did any harm.

Certainly doesn't happen in rugby and anyway it is the world's best national anthem so it would be a real shame if they even considered dropping it, maybe he wants his rockstar bicycle of a wife to do the singing
