However, the "bugger all else to do" thing is a bit off. There's more to do in Reading and its conurbation than most places in the entire UK!
so why are you in Bournemouth?

Forget the stats then but there's more passion and vocal suppport at the Albion than Reading, that YOU ca'nt disagree with!
Wilts said:Job. And the fact that Reading is damn expensive to live in. £170,000 for a 2 bed mid-terrace in a place in the west end where people get shot. No thank you!
Ever go to Elm Park? If you'd have seen 1995, we were described by the press as having the noisest home fans in the whole league. Shame we could only muster a capacity of 12,000 into that old ground.
burrish gull said:Sorry mate but that's just not true, one man and his drum does'nt make an atmosphere. I've been to your ground twice and it's like a morgue, why don't you come with us all to Brentford in a couple of week and witness it for yourself, you know it makes sense, I'll even buy you a drink.
watsongooal said:Correct me if I am wrong, but did you have to Cram 13,000 into your last game against Bradford?
We were getting that when we were bottom of Div 3
Storer68 said:Quite right.
So just accept it.
WE ARE A BIGGER CLUB THAN YOU
burrish gull said:Ah I see now it's the 'new stadium' that's at fault not your fans, funny that because we seemed to make shit loads of noise at our end, you must of had an off day although I could hear that prat with the drum loud and clear and a sporadic chant of 'come on Reading' at various points. Do you lot know any other songs because we've got some we could lend you.
Wilts said:No! Read back to the earlier post.
Scenario: You have a small ground where the ground makes loads of noise at home. Then you move ground. In moving ground you put in loads of new fans. They don't sing. The original lot still do sing.
This has happened with the MadStad, and will happen with Falmer. As it has in other places I've been to, such as the Britannia, McAlpine, Stadium of Light, Pride Park, etc. All quiet as a mouse.
If you stand in a room and shout, its quite loud. If you stand in the Nou Camp and shout, its not very loud. ;-)
fatbadger said:Wilts, I think you are just going to have to accept that it's no use arguing with some people!!
Simster said:Wilts, the fact is that if Chelski were to ever up the ground capacity of Stamford Bridge, we'd soon see the reason why you can hear a pin drop at your plastic stadium, and that is because you'd only get 500 season ticket renewals the following season. No one else there gives a toss.
