I am very good at winning money on these novelty events and if I stuck to novelties only I would be laughing. The bookies just make them up and as there no form they are just guessing. I am a very astute judge of a reality competition and my recent successess are

Just the Two of us - Russell Watson and Sian Reeves - It was so obvious Watson would win as he had by far the biggest fan base and was the best singer anyway, at one stage 12/1 was on offer and missed out but backed on the night at 5/2 against 1/3 for the other 2. A huge error by the bookies

Celebrity Come Dancing - Darren Gough 11/1 has £ 20 , again by far the most popular contestant, easy money, luckily the guy actually got quite good along the way

Celebrity GMOOH - Carol Thatcher 12/1 - there were enough Thatcher fans out there to make this a good bet and she turned out to be a good sport

Novelty bets are based on the most popular person not necessarily who is best which the bookies don;t seem to have a grasp of yet.

Waste of money putting it on UK, everybody in Europe hates us, its a popularity contests not a song contest nowadays

I've not heard the UK entry, but based on who is doing it... you'll do well because it should be the pure shite that gets votes.

Don't get smug just because you've won it more times than anyone else.

:lolol:

7 times, with 7 heaps of shite.

Two of our interval acts - Hothouse Flowers and Riverdance - have been collectively more sucessful than the 7 winners.

UK will never win a Eurovision again now that it's changed from a jury to 'phone votes in each country.

Best to look for a strong song from one of the 'blocs' - Scandinavia / Balkans / Former Soviet States, as they're guaranteed to vote for each other, so you're looking for a song from there that will also pick up votes across the board outside of their own geography.

Everyone hates us so we won't win, short of offering peerages in return for votes......

My god we haven't won it since 1996

Maybe this is the start of another triple win for us - or maybe not as the case may be.

Personally I couldn't give a s....... if we never won it again - load of old crap

Exactly - you could have Tom Jones or Mick Jagger entering and we would still lose. It was a farce when juries decided - even more so now it is the public.

Spain will vote for Portugal, Cyprus will vote for Greece, we will vote for Ireland, no-one will vote for us.

The worst GG tip EVER.
