I think Border lost them twice (including the last time we won in Australia) but Ricky is the first Aussie to lose them twice IN ENGLAND.

The last time we won in Australia (86-87), we were defending them though, so Border couldn't have lost them that time because Australia didn't have them to lose.

Australia (and Ponting as captain) had them going into the 2005 series and lost them, then had them again (after our pitiful display last time out) going in to this series, and lost them again.

The last time we won the Ashes in Oz, was in 86/87. Gladstone Small ripped through them in the Boxing Day test, we won it in three days.
