The Dandy gets a makeover

Apparently in a bid to attract more readers The Dandy is to get a makeover. Desperate Dan is to stay thankfully (surely one of the greatest comic charaters of all time?) but some new characters are being created such as Dreadlock Holmes.

Anyone else read this when they were a kid? I always thought it was second best to The Beano, but a thoroughly entertaining read nonetheless. I wish them well

Yep I did when I was little, I loved the Beano more than anything else, I liked The Dandy, but thought that was second to the Beano.

The Dandy was ok but I must admit that the only time I used to buy it was when it used to have a free gift.

poor beano substitute IMHO

still i used to get bought the beano and my sister got bought the dandy so i ended up being able to read both
