Bentley was very impressive on Saturday and scored a great free kick.

The papers are saying that we stand to lose/miss out on £80m or so if we do not qualify. Something drastic needs to be done. We are not looking threatening in the slightest.

The midfield needs sorting out once and for all. McClaren is blaming lack of firepower, but I think he is underestimating the effect of our inert midfield.

To be perfectly honest, I lost interest in national football a long time ago. I can't remember the last time I was entertained by England. I am even bored thinking about them.

Looking forward to playing football on Wednesday instead of watching a dire 2-0 victory against a bunch of goat herders, wine merchants and roof thatchers.

the biggest problem England have had over the past 2 years is playing players out of their normal position.

Also there are too many big name players like Rooney, Lampard etc who take their place for granted.

If you watch national teams like Rep. Ireland, Ireland and Scotland they all play for one another and they all know that they have to perform to keep their place in the team.

Its all about finding inform players that fit into your system as a manager rather than forcing players to play a system they don't normally play.

a) a totally English strikeforce that is banging in goals?
b) a creative English play-maker in midfield?
