Ahaaa Simster, has my little game persuaded you to turn the sound up on the commentry tonight then ?
Lets hope that Clives pun comes out as early as we all think it will, so you can turn the sound down again and not have too much of the match spoiled !

I'll say in the first 2 minutes of the game - as in "it not got the fireworks that the supporters are expecting!"

Meopham, Kent.
Surely, he can't last all the way up to kick-off, so I'll go for the pre-match ramblings with Mad Ron.

I'll also be looking out for classic Ronspeak, I just love all that.

"The boys quality is his greatest quality." The man is a genius.

I'd say the anchorman- Des, Jim, or whichever suit does the job tonight.

What about Big Ron Bingo? First one to spot all the following cliched Ron-isms wins...

"I'll tell you what...."
"Lollipop"
"Keano" (cos Ron likes to be on first name terms)
"Early doors"
"Dink" (or "dinked")
Any comment about a European keeper (in this case probably Stefan Klos) being suspect on crosses
Repeating the goalkeeper comment

How does this fat, orange old buffoon still get a contract?? He is still bitter about being sacked by United all these years on.

Well, what was the answer? Who won?

I didn't get back from work until 8.15:( so I missed the fireworks at the beginning.

Unbelievably, I don't think Tyldesley mentioned it once during the commentry. However, right at the top of the show, when they showed the goal from Ibox, Tyldeseley said "so its all set up for some early fireworks at Old Trafford", so I guess that counts as an Opening Gambit ? Des was straight in there with "get ready for fireworks tonight" in almost his opening line as well.
I'd say Edna was probably nearest the mark then.

That was exciting, wasn't it ? Shall we do it all again tonight, and see how long Martin Tyler can go without saying the "F" word at Highbury ?

Hooray!

What do I win?

Anyone hear the "Premier League? You're havin' a laugh" song from the Old Trafford faithful to the Rangers fans?

I wouldn't normally praise Man United fans but that was extremely funny. Ouch indeed.

I couldn't make out what they were singing after that- probably "Division One- You're havin a laugh" or even "Pontins League...". Anyone else notice?
