Interesting, well I thought so anyway, table of the amount of money spent by each club and how many points, wins and goals it got them.

Brighton are languishing in 16th place on the cost vs win stat.

I assume this is mostly down to CMS transfer fee/goals ratio. Doesnt take into how hard he worked for the team etc

How can this be accurate, with all the transfers that go through " undisclosed Fee" ????

They must be disclosed somewhere I guess?!

Surely its all pretty meaningless and doesn't prove anything, the 5th most efficent team were Doncaster who brought so efficently they got relegated.

And West Ham, who were "unefficient" but managed to get a possible £90million from promotion from their £22million spending...

Oh yeah at the end of the day it's pretty meaningless. Just thought it was interesting how we compared to the rest of the division on squad cost. And that Saints was half that of West Ham's for example. But as Set of Tracksuits says, would be better to have wages in there too.

Utterly pointless as only takes into account ONE season's spending. Did we buy ALL 23 players in our squad within the last year?

Just like when Palace fans say look how crap we did considering how much we spent. We've got MANY MANY more years of spending £4-5m a year before we're spending as much as practically any other Championship clubs have on their squads.

Meaningless. Take it over the last 4-5 years I think, for a more accurate reading.

I got the impression that it took into account the transfers fees of whoever was in our squad last year, whenever they were bought. Not just who we bought last year. West Ham didn't spend £22m in transfer fees this year alone did they? Burnley £8m?

I'm confused, how have they come to their valuations?

Yeah, notice I realised I hadn't read it correctly. Trying to get everything back into my spleen now, after venting all over the place.

It's still pretty meaningless don't worry, just thought it was mildly interesting all the same
