The Championship - the most competitive league in the world?

I reckon so and I think all those Premier League pundits that think that Villa and Newcastle are going to walk away with this league are starting to understand too. Realistically any one of maybe 16 or 17 sides have a good claim on making the play-offs and probably up to 10 who could win it. The parachute payments no doubt skew the chances but even taking that into account I struggle to think of another league at this standard of football that is so open.

It's one reason why I wasn't completely distraught at us not getting promoted last year, it guarantees an unpredictable and exciting season.

I agree. Once again the Championship should prove to be an absolute b*******d to get out ouf. There will be twists and turns aplenty, a league in which you can beat a title favourite one week and slip up againt a relegation prospect the next. As we know from last season due to the tight margins at the top there is something in every game and each point is to be cherished.
