Didn't realise Virgin Records had been in the town for so long.
 




That's a brilliant pic ToT, great to see Virgin on the corner. Anyone remember Desmond, who used to wander in for a chat with whoever was sitting on the beanbags with 'phones on?

I recall the Tardis used to be on the opposite corner under the Clock Tower for some time. Were those things made so the old bill could have a quick one off the wrist in private?

I could be wrong, but I think it was the first-ever Virgin Records store. I saw Gong (with Steve Hillage) play there one afternoon too.
They issued posters advertising the 'top record albums', and even invited people to come and visit the Virgin Mansion....probably looking for employees.
Richard Branson was quite the 'hippy'!
