There were up to 80,000 in the city yesterday, so 1.2m people turn up to Pride then?Pride does involve 15 x as many people, far more people from out of town, and huge quantities of alcohol and drugs, rather than water. It's a bit hard to compare.

Doesn’t Brighton need Pride for the revenue it generates for local traders ?Exactly and I don't think the council bailed out the Marathon and MORE importantly most BRIGHTONIANS wanted the marathon.

It won't last long this'll be on this year as it will have competition from the FIRST game at Falmer in 2011.
