Pack your trunks and swim for that perfect up close view. They love swimmers getting in the way about as much as they love people pointing out the whole thing is about as entertaining as Michael Gove rapping and three times less relevant.

But its traditional and unique, but most importantly it marks the start of another spring and summer of British sport after a horrible winter, next up The Grand National.

It's the Marathon which is the next major event after the boat race. I've already done that though, a magnificent spectacle, one every sports fan should have on their bucket list.
