i like to think this

but in all honesty its probably this, the reward for sticking with it to the end of 8 minutes is truly justified

The End - from The Doors (i Think this was a last song)

going to cheat a bit here because this

ran into this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdT7GEhpM9A

and i often never noticed :)

What a way to end an album

And one for luck - from Tepid Peppermint Wonderland (arguable a compilation album but I relaxed the rules on buying new vinyl for it)

this should be a debate between Belfast on Orbital's Green album or Halcyon on Orbital's Brown album. alas, they put daft outro track after them, so they dont qualitfy.

ha, I didn't read any of the thread before posting Belfast, ignoring the outro track. God, many a Sunday morning I would drift off with the , green? I thought it was yellow? album on, only to have that jarring piano come on. Sure they did it on purpose.

Here
An almost impossible task but I shortlisted four tracks:

Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands (Bob Dylan - Blond on Blond)
The Back Seat of my Car (Paul Macca - Ram)
You Cant Always Get What You Want (Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed)
Surfs Up (Beach Boys - Surfs Up)

and the winner is .............

The Back Seat of My Car

Great band

Yep, one of my big musical regrets never getting to see them live - had tickets for the Joiners Arms in Southampton for the Ruby Sea tour but they cancelled due to poor ticket sales (should've played Brighton instead!). They split up not long after.

Supper's Ready from Foxtrot by Genesis.

Twenty plus minutes of overblown theatrical symphonic wonder.

Steve Hackett played the full version at his series of concerts this year....it's also on genesis revisited 2 , saw him do it at the brighton centre....genius
