I can't see in the articles I've read what the actual science is from the University? At least it's not from Nathan Rao or James Madden! However even though there are some signals which could point to a greater chance of colder weather over Winter, there is nothing set in stone or even worth forecasting yet. Waaaay too early for that.

Gets colder next Monday for a little bit but can’t see any hope of anything.
