.

What I want to know is, why does Gunter have such a problem with fat people?

Nearly every post I see him make is having a go at fat people and being insulting to them.

What is your problem? [/B][/QUOTE]

Yorkie.

This is very unfair. I thought the Atkins diet thread would be interesting and it seems to have attracted a lot of debate.

I have referred to old, slow and fat two two players, Butters (when he was) and Kanchelskis (who had put on a few pounds since I last saw him). Also mentioned Fatty Hart last year when he was out of condition.

I think we have a right to expect people playing in our team to be in reasonably fit condition.

I have nothing at all against fat people and apologise if it appears otherwise, please don't tar me with that brush! :(

I can remember you having a real go at Catherine Zeta Jones when she was 9 months pregnant and calling her a 'fat munter'

There have been other references to fat munters too

'Munter' is a word I have never used in my life.

I think I called her a whale.

Really and the reason I had such a go had nothing to do with her excess weight, but the fact she has become far too "big for her boots" and greedy.

Gunter, do you keep your slimline figure by digging holes?

I did it last year lost 2 1/2 stone and now just eat normally although I try to be sensible (although I do have the occasional junk) and I am easily maintaining my current weight and without any excercise.

Which do you prefer tedebear? I like a very light moisturising cream myself. I find these night creams tend to be a bit on the heavy side

Seeing as how we are being accused of reverting to type :lolol:

well Yorkie - I go through stages - sometimes a heavier cream in winter - you know what those harsh winds can do to our skin - and then for summer something with grape extracts - nice and light and refreshing....

I have to be so careful with the exfoliation scrubs as I have such delicate skin

(do you think we've sickened them off enough yet?) :p

Aimed at me, I'm sure.

I believe there are veggie versions of Atkins - not for me though.

I've lost weight steadily over the past couple of months (was nearly 15st, now 12st 9lb) - still drunk beer when I've wanted it, eaten curry (with rice), chips, pizza, pasta and evil bread and potatoes when I've wanted it too. Just done it in moderation and gone down the gym a little more than I was. Not difficult, because I was not really going down there at all before!

I'm sure Atkins does work - there are enough people who testify to it, but if you don't make the post-Atkins lifestyle changes that P.L. has mentioned I imagine most will put back on what they took off. Typical dieting yo-yo effect.

Not aimed at you at all Bozza - it is a common saying originating from our evening train rides. The saying is aimed at a previous NSC poster who has now 'converted' to the way of veg!

Apologies if offence was taken

Firstly.....

"Ketosis is not a natural state for your body to be in. It lowers the blood pH, leading to a more acidic internal environment, and long-term exposure to such an environment will cause damage to your internal organs." ...(www.bodybuilding.com)

Secondly

A recent study done by French and Canadian researchers found that consuming carbohydrates in small amounts did NOT inhibit fat burning and only approximately 4% of it was stored as fat. This was in individuals who were not exercising. (www.bodybuilding.com)

don't believe the hype, this diet will work, but u have to be stupidly disciplined to make it continue working.

In reality, there are no shortcuts to losing weight but there is a simple formula...

lower your daily caloric intake steadily.
and
increase exercise steadily. (HITT always works for me)

PAPA I'm not gonna go into some of your stuff too deeply but there are a few half truths there, and if u think Geri lost all that weight without the aid of drugs and surgeons you've got another thing coming!!

Thanks for your contribution, most people on this thread talk from experience, you appear to be talking from a webpage

there's 2 quotes in there, but they back up what I'm trying to say. I speak from experience.

I will add quotation marks.
