Yep. This is the frustration - it was the same under Potter. No acknowledgement and adjustment based on the opposition side.

We are MUCH better than them, and they are expecting to get given a pasting. Get the game done in the first half.

This isn't really a moan, as I'm also aware we frequently outperform against really good sides.
Why do you think that is? We are a team of shop window players looking for their next move. I didn’t see any effort really in both Palace games no crunching tackles no desire. Man City oh Pep might buy me let’s play today 🙄

As someone who’s sat in the North and the West, it definitely isn’t a myth.

I almost never hear the North stand from the West, but having sat there I know that plenty of singing happens…

Saying that, not much singing happens in the West 😂
I’ve had season tickets in the North, west upper, west lower and currently in the north shelf directly above the NW corner.

In my experience the acoustics are not the reason the south is often louder at the north end it’s the personnel as the acoustics are exactly the same in the north and south stands.

Away support typically will always be vocal. The away fans in the south sign as one where as the north is divided (it’s been done to death on here) also need to add there’s plenty in the north who are on a price point (Zone A) and don’t join in

I’m hoping the small pocket of home regulars in the SW corner who I can often hear from my vantage point stick together and move into the south when the away fans move as having two ends making noise may actually drive those on the touch line to join in

The atmosphere at Anfield is largely terrible too unless it's a big game. They seem to have done alright this season. And if ever there were a 'family' atmosphere its at Fulham and Bournemouth - they have both also done pretty well this season.
I sit in one of the family sections at Fulham and we even sing! We take up chants from the adjacent Hammersmith End or from further along our stand. I know we're not the loudest at home and we've 'lost' 3 popular songs this season that mentioned Al Fayed's name which has'nt helped. We tend to be louder away, like most teams.

Sorry, but I've always thought the Amex is quiet, including this season until the 96th minute!

Isn't it commonly agreed that the best atmosphere ever at the Amex was the Sheffield Wednesday play off game - result 1-1.

I’m not going to get into a disagreement about it. We have different opinions, and that’s okay 👍

But we both agree the lack of noise is a problem, and like you I hope moving the away fans from the South will help.

I‘ve attended lots of Craven Cottage non-Albion games from the Hodgson era onwards (a STH loans us theirs), the atmosphere is largely quiet except for the away fans. It takes the increasing certainty during a game of a win against a big club to get people going. The stadium is frequently around the top of quietest ground articles and Fulham fans are damning about it.

Mmm. I like Fulham, but loud it most definitely is not.
