Queues last night at a Lower attendance game indicates not many are put off by £6.75 for a pie and pint. Looks like it will pay off
Swear its £7.50 Pie & Pint meal? No ?

With the euphoria of the first season at the Amex now a distant memory are we now going to start paying the price.
With so many travel restrictions in place we were sold the idea that the Amex would offer more than just average catering facilities so when the game is over we could stay behind & enjoy a drink or something to eat while the crowds disperse.
We were promised that the Amex would offer more than your basic football fayre.
I understand that whatever is put on the menu has to be mass produced & cost effective but the Amex does does not offer anything that other football clubs don't
apart from home made pies.
Having just watched 2 matches at the Amex I have noticed that not only have the prices gone up (excessively) on certain items but there is less to choice from.
Are we now paying the price for life at the AMEX?
paying the priceGet a grip. We're playing football in a good ground. Missing the withdean are you? Or the goldstone
Or actually no ground. With all the up most respect piss off!!
Another way of looking at it is last season the club needed us to stay behind after the match to allow the transport to work so planning permission for the extra seats could be granted. Now we have the extra seats the club don't need fans to stay behind after the game as it is probably not worth their while to do so.
Absoloutley this: All the moaners on here clearly dont visit other grounds much and experience the high prices lack of selection served up on a cramped concourses - appreciate the fantastic experience that the Amex is or fruck of to a resturant

The Amex is superb but there are questions. The main two in my view being capacity and transport. I expect they both can be overcome in the long term.
My view is that the Albion have had historically large crowds for lower league football, drawing bigger crowds than clubs like Southampton despite playing in lower divisions and often third tier football. The 70s crowds also shows the historic fanbase but now shows what can be built with this club. A tiny bit of vision will show you that we have just scratched the surface.
30,000 should not be the limit of our ambition and the ground will have to be tinkered with to increase the capacity, but that is further down the road. When the time comes however we will also need a bigger station at Falmer, shuttle bus transport into town and I'm afraid to all those that have a phobia against the most favourite form of transport (the car) plenty of car parks.
Unfortunately there aren't any restaurants in falmer nor are there any catering outlets outside the ground.

Do you ever stop moaning? If you want a dining experience go into town. It would seem you want to come to te Amex for the food, personally I come for the football. Did you ever attend the Withdean? You probably found that better because of the catering vans and cheap (or not so cheap) shite they served.
i think this thread is worthy. When it costs £100 a month for 3 season tickets and at least £50 per match inside the ground people are withing there rights to moan about absoulte shite service food running out even before you have got in and over inflated prices. We all wanted the Amex but there is a differnce between all hail the Amex and having the piss taken out of people and famillies.
