Please don't take too much offence at the ribbing you're getting. I for one have my tounge firmly in cheek when I make comments relating post count to stature. It's an argument that pops up now and again with 'newbies' and the regulars are well rehersed in their wind-up reactions.

What you have to accept straight away is that NSC is not a football-only board. Never has been, never will be. Agreed today is particularly bad for some reason, probably because it's a Friday and there's not really much football news about, but the beauty of the place is that it doesn't conform to the Rivals/Football Forums formula.

Rest assured, come tomorrow it will be swarming with news on the Swindon/England games and you'll do well to find an off-topic until at least Monday.

You ARE welcome to NSC, everyone is. You just have to remember that this isn't your average football message board, and that's what makes it so f***ing good.

Who knows, maybe one day YOU will have 1,000 posts and will be able to count yourself among the NSC elite.

To The Albion.

f***ing hell.

A couple of weeks ago I was having a complete bummer of a Friday. In a rare spare moment I logged onto NSC, and someone had posted that joke about Chas & Dave doing a single with Eminem. Made me laugh so much it completely transformed my day!!

Swindon nobody else has pointed out that although the registered date is July 2003 on a lot of posters, that is in fact when this reincarnation of NSC took place.

I had over a 1000 posts from the previous NSC which was brought forward by admin.

Some people chose to bring fwd their count some didn't.

The rest of you shame on you for slating AS ??? There a few of us here who use both quite happily.

I was also once a happy AS user.

However, it is fact that if someone was to rely on AS for all Albion news and gossip, that person would not have a clue about 80% of what goes on.

I may have been mistaken but nobody is forcing people to read the non footy related threads. If you dont want to chat about non footy things then dont read / join those threads. Simple. If you made separates people would post less because who can be arsed to keep switching between boards.
Also, I love the albion as much as anyone but just talking about albion would mean more and more 'duplicate' threads and also it would decrease the 'characters and personality' of users because you would only ever get opinions on footy...its seeing what people think about music etc that makes this so interesting.

Always Skint carries very little Albion discussion at all. I don't think too many of their small usergroup actually go to Albion games very often.

I was going to stick up for them and say that it appears to me that many on there don't live local, but then I remembered back to last season where I suggested to Sheffield Seagull (he runs A-S for those who don't know) meeting for a beer before the away game at Sheffield United. Imagine my dismay then when he had to politefully decline because he was going to a Liberty X concert. I'm not taking the piss either.

It was shortly after that that my admin status was removed (I know, I'm not proud of the fact) and a small time after that that I got banned all together. I couldn't tell you what for though, it's a mystery to me.
