Is it a fair reflection though? I see the stats on the BBC - we made 9 fouls but got 5 yellow cards. Southampton made 14 fouls and got 2 yellows.

Is it a case of we don't make many fouls, but when we do we really go for it!!? Or are we getting lots of silly yellows for backchat, time wasting etc.

To be worse than Dirty Leeds is quite an achievement, although they are miles ahead in the red card column.

The two reds are nothing to do with being dirty as anyone who was at Leicester will tell you that Painter's second yellow/red was a travesty. The ball was kicked to his hand which was down by the side of his body.

The players are stretching for tackles or over compensating for their lack of strength which is why we pick up so many yellows.

Gus and Tanno need to set an example with regard to disent etc

Our foul count is usually lower than the opposition. I think the exceptions were at Portsmouth and Cardiff (from memory).
