Here is not my prediction but reasoning and therefore our chances in each of the remaining matches.

Preston (a) - Should not be disappointed with nothing preston have a formidable home record and had it not been for a poor away one, they would be in automatics. Defeat here, although is 6 on spin, is nothing worse than we could expect.

Leicester (h) - Arguably our easiest home game, however we have been compacent in recent weeks against the teams around us and not picked up a point. We must win this game and it is very possible.

Burnley (a) - The only game we have left against a team with little to play for. Showing hunger and willingness may prove enough to suceed at a difficult ground to pick up points.

West Ham (h) - Big name, big game, however have been hit and miss all season, hopefully we will catch them on an off day, but I am still convinced we can beat anyone at home if we play the way we can, remember Sunderland?

Rotherham (a) - Barring a miracle, Rotherham will be dead and buried by this fixture and will play a youthful side in any chance of experince with any luck. However they may see the desire to send us down too, however a professional performance will take three points here.

Ipswich (h) - final game of the season, home advantage I have mentioned is our friend on our day. We must hope that Wigan and Ipswich are more than 3 points clear of each other with just the last game to play, preferably with Ipswich cemented in 3rd place win or lose. They will hopefully in this case rest star names allowing a breach in the gulf in class, from which we can hopefully succeed.

In conclusion of the 6 remaining fixtures, there is only one game I can't see us winning. The others are all winnable and provided the team performance is good enough throughout we will pick up the amount of points to avoid the drop.

That seems a good sum-up to me. Although im quite worried about rotherham, not sure why, just that teams already dead-and-buried always seem to pick up points once they're down, probably because the pressure's off and they're playing for pride.

The game against Ipswich COULD be a huge huge game if they're still playing for an automatic spot and we still need something to stay up!!

Rotherham will be confirmed as relegated by then and will be able to relax.

I can see us being beaten there.

(I would remove my avatar with it's rose tinted specs but I've grown rather fond of the little duck so I'll leave it there)

Is that last team a Freudian slip or what?

After Coventry, the team spirit must be an all time low which means it'll be extremely hard to lift the spirit in time to get cvrucial points and West Ham, Leicester and Rotherham...

Rotherham could be relegated on Tuesday, they play Ipswich lets assume they lose that they would be on 28 points with 15 to play for. If Carduff get a point or more against Stoke then Rotherham will not be able too catch any team outside the bottom 3.

With their woeful GD (even worse than ours, but only just, we have the second worse GD in the division) then then in reality if not in maths they are relegated unless they beat Ipswich.

Not the case, teams already down ALWAYS go on stupid winning runs

That's what I said, but in a different way. I can see Rotherham beating us because they will be on a stupid winning run.

I can't see us getting much at Burnley and Preston - at best a point - or at home to Ipswich, who are just miles better.

I wish I was more confident about Rotherham, smacks a bit of a Grimsby situation; West Ham could murder us or lose 1-0, and Leicester are not as bad as their position suggests.

On the basis of that, you wouldn't be putting too much money on us...agree Leicester is a must-win.
