This thread is going be approx 20% actual new kits again, isn't it?

Big snub of the derelict Fulham Town Hall, despite it being much closer to Stamford Bridge than Chelsea Town HallSome splendid marketing bollocks from our pals at Nike:
The shirt features subtle architectural motifs inspired by London’s iconic landmarks and creative culture, including Chelsea Town Hall, highlighting the club’s deep connection to the capital.
The collar features a modern V-cut, complemented by white and red side panels. The club crest sits on the chest, while the initials "CFC" are printed beneath the collar on the upper back. Marking the club’s 120th anniversary, the release also celebrates Chelsea’s role in the capital’s cultural and sporting identity, with nods to high-profile landmarks and creative energy.

Phew!! Happy to be proved wrong.I think this is bogus. I have all sorts of books about the Albion, and none of them (i.e. Carder and Harris "Seagulls! The story of Brighton and Hove Albion FC") refer to these colours, none of the (admittedly sepia) pictures have players wearing anything other than blue and white stripes , white shorts in this period, and a quick check on Historical Kits backs me up : https://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Brighton_and_Hove_Albion/Brighton_and_Hove_Albion.htm. In short, this shirt is fictional.
Is that Brian Tawse with Howard Wilkinson? That was the first strip I saw us play in. Love the idea of an "accurate" reboot.I'd like us one day to do a commerative 60s new update based on this...
(basically Arsenal in blue/white)

Yes.. could be a cracker that kit IF done properly (Adidas or New Balance say and not Nike screwing it up).
Tiger is one of the first players I can actually remember from when my Dad started taking me in the West Stand in the mid/late 60sThe other player is Bob Fuller, not Brian Tawse.
Quite a bit before my time - but I do have a very extensive collection of squad photos!Tiger is one of the first players I can actually remember from when my Dad started taking me in the West Stand in the mid/late 60s
I think that Sporting shirt is fine, nice and simple and better than our process that is more like; The conversation in the Nike office went something like:
Project Manager (Friday, 4:55pm): Sporting wanted a shirt by the end of the week, can you knock something up?
Designer (Friday, 5:02pm): Done. Check your email.
Plymouth Argyle could do a lot worse than to play in that.
Stunning though not technically for next season
I am a graphic designer/in branding and I can confirm this process is very familiar to me.I think that Sporting shirt is fine, nice and simple and better than our process that is more like;
Project Manager (Early May): Brighton wanted a new shirt by the start of next season, can you knock something up?
Designer (Mid May): Sorry I'm just doing Barca / Inter / someone else more important I'll come back to you
Project Manager (end May): do you have an update?
Designer (end May): Sorry I'm out of office until July
Project Manager (July): do you have an update?
Designer (mid July): I've created a striped shirt
Project Manager: Can you change the sleeves to a different colour?
Designer: It'll make it look worse but sure
Project Manager (late July): Can you change the back to three bits of fabric stitched together?
Designer: It'll make it look worse but sure
Project Manager (early August): Can you make the stripes off centre?
Designer: It'll make it look worse but sure
Project Manager (September): That'll do, we should probably think about shipping these sometime soon
It's a programming meme but the broad concept applies to basically any profession where multiple teams / people are involved in producing something:I am a graphic designer/in branding and I can confirm this process is very familiar to me.![]()
