We are getting to that time of year where details should start to emerge of sides arranging pre-season friendly matches. There is no word yet on what Albion's first team plans are but if you hear of a team advertising a fixture against ANY Albion side (whether first team, U-21s or U-18s) please post it here and I will periodically collate the info to keep everything in one place.

Doesn’t help much but it doesn’t look like Burgess Hill are in the diary this summer (may be something to do with the 4G pitch installation which starts this week - hence all the fixtures being away)

Maybe Tony has crunched the numbers and has a new theory that pre-season friendlies aren't necessary to prepare for the season.

Given our injury history the past 2-3 seasons the last thing we need is dragging the players half way around the world for a load of fixtures. Keep it simple, and local with a light pre-season training.

It's been suggested to me that there won't be a big overseas tour like the last couple of seasons, but there will be a training camp, very possibly in southern Spain.

I do wonder if that's behind the apparent lack of pre season tour.
