I really enjoyed it and thought it was very good, but in my opinion it had an unrealisticly happy ending. I am sure that there are some happy endings but I think that the majority of such scenarios have altogether bleaker prospects for relationships to be rebuilt.

Very well researched by the writer and David Tennent himself.

Have been going through the same situation for the last 6 months, with my partners son. He has been in rehabilitation for the last three months, and progress is still being made.

The only complaint that I have against tonights prog, that it didn't really show that you are on you own at lot of the time. Once the patient has come round and the hospital are satisfied that no medical complications can set in, that's it, there's not really any major support to help you get through what is a very difficult situation, and that you have to learn to get through as there are no set recovery patterns for brain injuries.

I appreciate your personal circumstances in this and would agree that any sort of support is only given to those who shout the loudest or who are identified as "in need". If you just get on with things, as we found, no-one gives a stuff about you.

I actually thought this came out well in the program, especially the surgeon, where the wife said that he had saved her husband, but it was not him who had been returned to her. I thought sarah parrish's character was played superbly and was with so much skill. david Tennant IMHO is one of the best actors around at the moment.

Quite brilliant TV

yep - Sarah Parish - sadly only a side view of her baps as opposed to full-on :(

I always confuse her with Daniela Nardini

Plus when she actually was being nailed, she even kept her TOP on. Which makes it a poor programme, all in all.

Really really enjoyed it last night.

Great programme and very moving.

Also on a selfish note i hope the beeb do more shows like this where tennant gets to play slightly different roles than what hes use to and keeps him at the bbc where he can carry on playing the doctor aswell.

Whoah, sorry to hear that mate. Are there any support groups out there to help you?
