Exeter picked up 650k i think from there match at Old Trafford a couple of years back so that 1 mill figure doesn't suprise me.Don't forget the away team gets 45% so 1 mill is easily achieved for every home game.
We picked up 250k from Spurs? 36k crowd and Man U holds nearly 80k?

I wasn't disputing that, the post mentioned 1 mil for every game but surely a lot of the money is tied up with season ticket holders for league games.

You're right in what you say, most of that money is probably safe in the bank by the end of august, it's just a way of working it out. Add up total gate receipts for a season and divide it by the number of home games. For a cup game they would still have to work out what the receipts were worth and split it with us.
