a big thankyou to all those involved in bristol citys battle for a new stadium. i am aware that many brighton fans signed the petition for our new ground and you're help has been much appreciated.

tonight we won a key battle against the nimbys with sainsburys being given planning permission to build on ashton gate which provides £22 million. this decison may well have been swung by your chief executive (forgive me i can't remember his name) making a 300 mile round trip to speak on our behalf.

he spoke with passion and his experience in the matter was excellent and he portrayed his thoughts and ideas excellently.

i am glad to see that you will move to your ground at the end of the year and btw it looks incredible.

after tonight i'm willing to put 2004 behind me

Albion fans have had a lot of help from supporters of other clubs over the dark years of our exile from the wonderfull old Goldstone ground that most of us still think of as home, and many of our guys have repaid that by helping and advising other fans who find themselves in a similar situation.

I am really happy that our club has been able to do this for you and makes me even more proud of the club i support than i was anyway.

Good luck for the rest of your journey, and I can only hope it turns out for you as well as has for us.

Keep the faith, and if you really want to repay us, 6 points next season would be greatly appreciated.
