I thought the helpers, staff etc were brilliant yesterday, even the Old Bill were helpful and chatty. Some old guy directed me back to my car and was showing off how one of the albion players had given him a blue jacket (Sgt pepper esque). Was a top bloke.
I think the people of Cardiff helped make the day the occasion it was..

The police and stewards were spot on - all very friendly - not standing there with their video cameras pointing at you all day long like we will no doubt get again at away games next season

A few locals I spoke to all seemed quite pleased City had lost as I guess they see them as more of "local" rivals than us

To me it seems a real shame that Cardiff only has the play offs for another year or two

The people of Cardiff have made a real effort re how they treat visitors and deserve a lot of credit for it

Sending a lot of the London and Midlands football police for days out to games at the Mill Stad to see "how it's done" without pissing off fans all day long would be no bad idea!!

as 10cc say, not in hove
i thought the people of cardiff were fantastic, made us feel very welcome indeed! i wonder if we'd have been wished good luck so many times if we weren't playing the wurzels!

having got up early we arrived at 9am (3 hour journey!) and parked ourselves outside the italian bar in the docks for a mamouth session on the peronis, lots and lots of the locals came up tpo say hello! thought they were great

Having spent several years living in South Wales I can cheerfully say that the people in that part of the world are, for the most part, cheerful and friendly. They'll take the piss if you're English, but it is all good-natured banter. It was certainly pleasant returning to what is for me a home away from home.

The policing was excellent, and it demonstrates that you can control a big crowd without resorting to heavy-handed tactics. Met Police, please take note!

We spoke to one copper and he said that for the Cup Final, they only made a total of 15 arrests, and that included people being done for touting. Given that one of the teams involved was Milwall, I'd say that was a pretty impressive statistic.

The locals were super-friendly too, so  to the Welsh. Christ, I never thought I'd write a sentence with that in :D
